AZ Waterfowl offers fully guided hunts in and around Central Arizona. We utilize several different hunting areas. Most of our waterfowl hunts will take place in a 19 foot camo duck boat.

I am an Arizona Native, residing in New River with my wife and three children. I am 42 years old and currently the Senior Guide at Cibola Sportsman’s Club. I am an accomplished caller with a true passion for Waterfowl Hunting.

I started duck hunting in northern Arizona, at the age of 9 with my father. It left a deep impression on me. From that point on, I was obsessed with duck hunting. At the age of 14, a close friend, Wally Rogers, introduced me to goose hunting and it has been a major priority in my life since that time. I also enjoy hunting Dove and Quail in the desert regions across the state and chasing after Monster Bull Elk in the high country.

In 1996 I officially started guiding in OshKosh, Nebraska. I left my family every winter for three months to pursue my dream of guiding honkers in the Central flyway. Eventually, the toll of being away from my family became too great. In 1999, after three years of unbelievable goose hunting, I gave up my winters in Nebraska and became a licensed guide in the State of Arizona. I immediately took a job guiding at Cibola Sportsman’s Club, a well-known duck and goose-hunting club located on the Colorado River. Our club borders the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge.

I have to say, I take my calling very seriously. I embrace any chance I have to learn new techniques and better myself. I also take the opportunity to really listen to the birds to pick up their true sounds and tones. In 1999, my first year at the club, I was introduced to short reed goose calls. Now my call manufacturer of choice is Lynch Mob Calls.

I have taken second place, two consecutive years at the State Duck calling competition. While guiding at Cibola, I have received a lot of exposure in the media and have made contacts and close relationships with many waterfowl hunters, retailers, writers and production companies in Arizona & California. I have been featured on six radio shows, two of which were live broadcasts from inside the pit-blind. I have also been featured on an episode of a local sportsman’s show, “Outdoors Arizona”, as well as appearing on the Fox Sports Network Show, “Sportsman’s Heritage”. There have been numerous articles done on our club by “Western Outdoor News” but they recently did a feature story on me in December 2005. I have been invited to several DU banquet’s to give call demonstrations. In addition, I have donated guided hunt packages to DU for auction.
